How-To: Login and Logout of the Crystal Reports Server

Problem:

Your need to login/logout of the Crystal Report Server (CRS).  First, please note that you must have an account configured on the CRS prior to attempting login.  Once you have been notified that your account has been established, you will login using your HSG domain credentials.

Important Notes:

Authentication is subject to HSG domain policy, so multiple login failures could affect your ability to login to other HSG resources (such as email and your desktop computer.)

Resolution:

To access the login page, navigate to the Housing IT website (www.housing.uci.edu/hit/) and locate the Access Reports in the left navigation.

  1. Click on Access Reports and you will see a login prompt similar to the one below:

  2. Enter your HSG domain login credentials and click on "Log On"

  3. If you are successful, you will see a message "Welcome xxxxx" where xxxxx is your UCINetID. If authentication failed, make sure you are using your HSG domain login (the same as your email/workstation login)
  4. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to logout when you are finished retrieving your reports.  Our licensing for this software is based on concurrent accesses.  If you have a report open and leave for lunch, you prevent others from accessing the reports with that license.  At this time, we have 10 concurrent licenses.  To logout, click on the lock icon in the upper right of the screen (see image below)
