How-To: Change your housing email/domain password
Problem:
You want to change your Student Housing Email password. (This only applies to email accounts hosting on the Student Housing Exchange server). Users on hosted by the campus E4E server just need to change their UCINetID password.
Important Notes:
Changing your email password will also change your Student Housing (HSG) domain password. This applies to any user and computer that is part of the Windows HSG domain. Housing IT plans to start rolling computers into the domain beginning sometime May 2006 continuing through Summer 2006.
Resolution:
To change your domain (email) password, simply login to Student Housing's Outlook Web Access with your current UCINetID and password. Then proceed as follows:
- Click on the Options menu item in the left navigation.

- Scroll down and Click on the Change Password Button.

- A pop-up window will begin to open and a Domain Login window will appear. Enter your UCINetID for your Username and your current Student Housing email (domain) password.

- If your login was successful, the pop-up will populate with the HSG Password Change Utility form.

- Verify your UCINetID and enter your old email (domain) password in the field labeled "Old Password."
- Enter your new password in the field labeled "New Password" and again in the "Confirm new password" field. Note: Your new password must be a highly secure password consisting of a minimum 8 characters. If you enter an unacceptable password, your password change will not be successful.
- Click the OK button to verify your password (for acceptability) and save if accepted.
