Fall 2016 Move In Information
Move-In Weekend is September 16-18. Room Assignments will be sent to students' UCI email by September 2nd.
Greetings, Anteaters! We look forward to welcoming you to campus, and we want to help make your transition to college as smooth and comfortable as possible. Below are some steps you can take to get ready for move-in. The move-in day schedule for your housing community will be sent with your housing assignment in early September. See you soon!
UCI Student Housing works in partnership with the campus’ Disability Services Center. Housing accommodation and placement where physical, medical, psychological, developmental, or learning needs are to be taken into consideration are based on written recommendation to Student Housing from that office. We encourage you to contact the Disability Services Center at (949) 824-7494 or go to www.disability.uci.edu/Services_Accommodations/registering_intake.php for information regarding registration and documentation requirements. In the event written recommendation is provided from the Disability Services Center, Student Housing will work with that office and with you regarding your accommodation needs.
Prior to Move-In Day
Your Assignment Email, sent to your UCI email September 5th, will include all the information you will need to get to where you need to be on Move-In Weekend.
Did you know?
University of California Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP)
All UCI undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in UC SHIP as part of registration at UCI. For more information about the plan, see the UCI Student Health Center's Insurance Page. If you are currently covered by major medical health insurance, you have the option of waiving out of the plan — declining the service — and not paying this fee by filling out the online waiver. The waiver deadline is September 9, 2016. For more information go to: http://www.shs.uci.edu/health_insurance_privacy/InsuranceDoc/16-17_UCI_Snapshot.pdf
Renters Insurance is available through GradGuardTM
Students are encouraged to purchase renters insurance to protect their personal belongings and to provide liability coverage. Coverage is available through GradGuardTM or another provider of your choice.
