Fall 2012 Graduate Student Housing Guarantee. The University of California-Irvine guarantees an offer of on-campus housing to newly admitted Fall 2012 Ph.D., M.F.A., and J.D. students. Housing offers will be for one of six graduate housing communities and must be accepted prior to the first day of classes. Eligiblity for housing extends until a student’s normative time to degree for their academic program. Click on the "Guaranteed" student link to the left for more information on housing options and the application process. Housing assignments for guaranteed students will begin mid-May and continue throughout the summer.
Housing Guarantee for Veterans, Reservists (including National Guard) and Active Duty Service Members.* Eligible service members, reservists, and veterans are guaranteed an offer of on-campus housing for four years or Normal Time To Degree (whichever is greater). The housing guarantee applies to both eligible students who are single and those with families. The housing guarantee will remain in place if a degree program is interrupted by a deployment. Service members should register with UCI Veteran’s Services, http://www.veteran.uci.edu in order to learn more about available campus resources. For more information, contact Student Housing at housing@uci.edu or by calling (949) 824-6811. *This policy does not apply to students enrolled in ROTC.
Eligible students who do not qualify for the housing guarantee can apply to be on the housing wait-list. Offers to the wait-list begin after guaranteed students have been served and continue as long as space remains available.
