- When is Pay Day?
- Career employees are paid on the first working day of the month.
Casual employees are paid every other Wednesday. - Is there a Credit Union on campus?
- Yes. There is a limited service branch of Schools First Credit Union (SFCU) located on the Terrace level (Level 2) of the Student Center at G202.
- May I use the campus library?
- Yes. Library privileges are available upon presentation of your University I.D. card. Loan privileges may also be extended to family members, 18 years or older.
- What recreation facilities are available?
- Full-time employees and their families are entitled to the use of a variety of sport and recreational equipment through the purchase of a quarterly or annual membership to the ARC (Anteater Recreation Center). - Is there a check cashing service on campus?
- Yes, there is a check cashing service offered by the limited service Schools First Credit Union branch available located on the Terrace level (Level 2) of the Student Center.
There are also a number of ATM machines located on the Terrace level of the Student Center. The campus ATMs are comprised of Bank of America, Chase Bank, Schools First Credit Union (SFCU), Wachovia, and Wells Fargo. - May I eat in the Dining Commons?
- Yes.
UCI Dining has designed several Voluntary Meal Plans to choose from, and each plan comes with a meal allowance and FlexDine Dollars. These meal plan options offer all-you-care-to-eat dining at Pippin and Mesa Commons throughout the day and Brandywine Commons after 2:00pm. FlexDine Dollars work like a debit card and may be used at all on-campus residential and retail dining locations. Voluntary Meal Plans are valid for the entire academic year (expires last day of spring quarter).
UCI Dining also offers Zot Bucks which work like a debit card and are accepted at all residential and retail dining locations. Use Zot Bucks to purchase beverages, snacks, full meals and more!

- Meals may be purchased at the door with cash or credit card at Pippin and Mesa Commons. You may pay with cash after 2:00pm at Brandywine Commons.
- May I take classes through University Extension?
- Yes. University Extension offers a wide range of educational course which may be reimbursable at 50% if they are job-related. Forms are available online thru SNAP and at the Human Resources Office, 111 Theory, Suite 200, located in the University Research Park.
- What is the Reduced Fee Education Program?
- This program allows career employees who have been members of the staff for at least six months to enroll in regular University courses. To qualify for reduced fees, employees must meet regular admission requirements and qualify as legal residents of the State of California. More information is available thru SNAP.
