Summer Sublet

 

2012-13 CV Year Round contract holders have the option to sublet their space in Campus Village for the summer months only. Summer Sublets begin Sunday, June 24, 2012 and end on Friday, September 14, 2012. Contract holders are responsible for finding their own sublettor and retain final responsibility for housing payments. Campus Village does not guarantee that summer sublets will be filled, but does provide a set of resources to assist students looking for a sublet or sub-tenant.

The Summer Sublet system provides listings of:

• Spaces that will be available for the summer, AND
• Students who are interested in subleasing in Campus Village for the summer.

Looking For Summer Housing In Campus Village?

1. Complete the Online Sublet Information Session And EEE Test.
   This is to ensure that all sublet participants are familiar with Campus Village's sublet program and policies.
2. If you still have any question, bring them to one of the MANDATORY Summer Sublet Information Session.
3. Look for a sublet by viewing the spaces available listings on the Off Campus Housing Web site. Click here to start, then:
   • Login with your UCI NetID and password
   • Click on "Properties"
   • Click on "Sublets" to view CV Summer Sublets listed by 2012-13 contract holders

How To Sublet Your Apartment

1. Attend a MANDATORY Summer Sublet Information Session on one of the following dates:
• Thursday, April 26, 2012 @ 6PM
• Wednesday, May 9, 2012 @ 5PM
• Tuesday, May 22, 2012 @ 6PM

All sessions will take place in the Atlantis Lounge in the CV Community Center. You are required to attend one of these sessions in order to sublet.

2. Complete the Online Sublet Information Session And EEE Test
   This is to ensure that all sublet participants are familiar with Campus Village's sublet program and policies. Attending an information session does not substitute for completing the online Session and EEE Test.
3. Post your Summer Sublet listing on the Anteater Housing Network:
• Login with your UCI NetID and password
• Click on "Post Sublet" and fill in the requested information
4. Print and Fill out the Application for Approval to Sublet form (PDF) and the Key Authorization form (PDF).
5. Return the completed applications to the Campus Village housing office.

Facilities And Benefits:

• Two-bedroom, one-bath apartment with two residents in each bedroom
• Furnished and unfurnished units; each includes a refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, as well as carpeting and window coverings throughout. All furnished apartments include basic living room furniture, a dinette set, bed, desk, chair and dresser for each resident.
• All utility costs are included in the summer rates, except for phone service which the residents establish for themselves.
• Community Center offers a fitness room, computer lab, meeting/study/ program rooms, big screen TV, pool tables, ping-pong tables, air hockey table, and convenience store.
• Conveniently located next to the UCI Science Library and within walking distance of classrooms, research labs, the Student Center and campus cafes.
• All rooms and apartments have internet connection capabilities, and the option of 4 phone lines per apartment.
