Getting to Class

Arroyo Vista is located on the east campus, next to the Anteater Recreation Center. Shuttle bus service provides easy access to the campus core, or if you want some fresh air, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk.

"Ants in Your Plants" Community Garden

The community garden is a student-led effort to fight food insecurity on campus and promote sustainable practices. The garden project is a collaborative partnership among the ASUCI Sustainability and Garden Commission, the UCI Sustainability Resource Center, the FRESH Basic Needs Hub, and Arroyo Vista Housing. Through the garden, UCI students have the opportunity to learn about food systems through volunteer gardening, workshops, and curriculum integration.

Visit our outdoor Seed Library located in the garden. The purpose of the seed library program is to foster a campus culture of sustainability and resilience as it enables a community of backyard and container farmers.
