Student Accomodations Provided Through Disability Services

UCI Student Housing works in partnership with the campus’ Disability Services Center. Housing accommodation and placement where physical, medical, psychological, developmental, or learning needs are to be taken into consideration are based on written recommendation to Student Housing from that office. We encourage you to contact the Disability Services Center at (949) 824-7494 for information regarding registration and documentation requirements. In the event written recommendation is provided from the Disability Services Center, Student Housing will work with that office and with you regarding your accommodation needs.

Disaster Preparedness

In the event a disaster, do you have a communication plan with your family? See the Health and Safety page for information about safety, security, disaster preparedness, and health. Student Housing has a limited amount of disaster supplies, and we encourage residents to gather their own personal supplies and to make their own plans in case of an earthquake (e.g. Personal Disaster Prep Kit). Sign up to receive ZotAlerts on your phone.

Move-In Day

Check-In
Your Assignment Email will include your assigned move-in date & time and check-in location. A limited number of carts will be available for transporting your belongings, so if you have a portable dolly or cart, you might want to bring it.
COVID-19 Tests

Antigen test kits are no longer available for broad distribution on campus. We recommend you obtain a supply of test kits from your health provider or local pharmacy for use during the year, as needed.

Parking

To better serve our incoming residents, parking is complimentary on your move-in date. Loading zones may be used for a maximum of 20 minutes. Overnight parking requires an overnight permit, which may be purchased at a dispenser or kiosk. Parking permits are required outside of the move-in weekend experience and in any non-resident parking areas/stalls.

Living Green

UCI is committed to minimizing the material going to landfill and maximizing the materials that are recycled and composted, leading to lower greenhouse gas emissions, a cleaner environment, and more green innovation.

How Can I Live Green?

  • Break down and flatten your cardboard boxes, then take them to a designated area or recycling container outside your hall/ house.
  • Pack reusable containers, utensils, and a water bottle. A water refill station is located in each hall.
  • Compost in your hall/ house. Each residence hall/ house kitchen has been provided with a composting container lined with a biodegradable bag.
  • Visit our Instagram and be on the look-out for additional tips before move-in @ucihousing.
