About Verano Place
Verano Place Apartments is one of three Graduate and Family Housing communities. Verano Place houses mainly graduate, law, and medical students, and a limited number of undergraduates over the age of 25 or with families. Residents hold annual agreements (ending June 30) that may be renewed pending eligibility requirements.

Eligibility
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units to be eligible to live in graduate housing.
Student who are married, in a domestic partnership, or living with children must provide specific documentation prior to finalizing their housing contract. Required documents include: a notarized affidavit of marriage or domestic or adult partnership, birth certificates for children, and documentation that children are living with you. Details will be provided with your housing offer.

Amenities & Facilities
Study Spaces
Four reservable study spaces are available to current GFH residents in the Verano Community Center. Amenities include TVs, tables, whiteboards, and chairs. Additional non-reservable study spaces can be found in the Verano Community Center.
Music Rooms
Three reservable music rooms are available to current GFH residents in the Verano Community Center. Amenities include music stands and chairs. Rooms 106 and 108 include a digital keyboard.
Lounge
The Lounge, located in the Verano Community Center, is a reservable space available to current GFH residents. Amenities include 2 TVs, a refrigerator, microwave, sink, tables and chairs.
Multipurpose Room
The Multipurpose Room, located in the Verano Community Center, is a reservable space available to current GFH residents. Amenities include 3 projectors and screens, and tables and chairs.
Old Rec Center
The Old Rec Center, located near building 300, is a reservable space available to current GFH residents. Amenities include refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink, bathroom, kid-sized chairs and tables, and a spacious backyard.

Wellness Center
The Wellness room, located in the Verano Community Center, is home to free fitness classes for GFH residents. Stop by the Community Center to pick up a class schedule. Drop in use available outside of scheduled class times.
Community Organic Garden
The Verano Garden is an organic garden that exists to provide an opportunity for Verano Place residents to garden a communal setting. It is a place to work the earth alongside fellow residents you might not otherwise meet, and to share gardening knowledge. It is also an opportunity to increase sustainability by growing food locally, and recycle garden green waste and community kitchen waste. Eligibility is limited to Verano Place residents, with only one plot per housing contract. Plots are assigned by the Verano Housing Office. Community Barbecues and Picnic Tables
Located throughout the community and outside the Community Center, gas BBQs and picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you use these amenities, please clean up after yourself and dispose of all trash in the nearest dumpster.
Play Areas
Four playgrounds for children are located throughout the community. In addition, there are several large grassy areas ideal for outdoor play. Two half-size basketball courts are located outside the Living & Learning Service Center and Verano Parking Structure.
Laundry Rooms
There are several laundry facilities in the community. Use of laundry machines is currently included in your housing payment. Apartment keys provide access to laundry rooms in Verano.
