Need Housing?
A limited number of spaces are available in the Residence Halls for the remaining academic year (for single undergraduate students under age 25). Email HousingOffers@uci.edu for more information.
Winter Break Housing
Be Safe. Be Secure.
Residence halls will remain open during Winter Break. There will be RAs on-duty throughout Winter Break to ensure safety in your housing community. Limited custodial and maintenance services will be available during the break. If you have an urgent maintenance issue after hours, please call the Arroyo Vista Duty Line at (949) 351-4228 for assistance. UC Irvine Police Department (UCIPD) will operate as usual during Winter Break. If an emergency arises, call 911. If you need assistance regarding “non-emergency” matters, call UCIPD at (949) 824-5223 or dial x45223 from a campus phone. For any safety and security questions, please email police@uci.edu.
Nearby Dining Options
There will be no meal service at Brandywine and The Anteatery from December 14, 2024 through January 4, 2025. Dining service will resume with dinner service on January 5th at 5:00pm. Some retail dining facilities on-campus will be open prior to the winter recess.
There are two grocery stores within walking distance, Albertsons and Trader Joe’s, and University Town Center has a number of casual dining options. Options will be limited on Christmas and New Year’s Day, so you might want to plan ahead.
Parking & Transportation
Students who have a car on-campus should purchase their winter quarter parking permit with UCI Transportation and Distribution Services before the campus closure on December 25th so that your vehicle has a valid permit for the entire winter break (Dec 16 – Jan 1).
