About Palo Verde
Palo Verde Apartments one of three Graduate and Family Housing communities. The community houses mainly graduate, medical, and law students, plus a smaller number of undergraduates over the age of 25 or with families. Residents hold annual agreements (ending June 30) that may be renewed pending eligibility requirements.

ELIGIBILITY
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units to be eligible to live in graduate housing.
Student who are married, in a domestic partnership, or living with children must provide specific documentation prior to finalizing their housing contract. Required documents include: a notarized affidavit of marriage or domestic or adult partnership, birth certificates for children, and documentation that children are living with you. Details will be provided with your housing offer.

Amenities & Facilities
Community Room
Located in lower Palo Verde, near buildings 2200 and 3100, the Clubhouse can be reserved for meetings, small gatherings, or study groups. Amenities include large screen TV, DVD player, and VCR, plenty of comfortable seating and tables, natural gas only fireplace, small kitchen with microwave, sink, and refrigerator. BBQ grills are located right outside the Clubhouse.
Lounge/Conference Room
Located below the Palo Verde Office, on the first level, the Lounge / Conference Room contains: one dividable conference room/study lounge and a multi-purpose room. Amenities include:
- Large screen TV, DVD player, and VCR
- Surround sound
- Plenty of comfortable seating
- Natural gas fireplace
- Photo of PV Lounge

The Rachel Carson Organic Garden Cooperative
The Rachel Carson Organic Garden Cooperative is open all year to Palo Verde residents for planting and growing vegetables, flowers, herbs, trees, and other plants. The garden is located behind the 8200 building, and contains plots that can be used for organic gardening (NO pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or herbicides). Residents interested in acquiring a plot, or information about electronic waitlist procedures, may email: GFHgardens@uci.edu.
Playground/Playgroup
Palo Verde offers a playground, located off of Palo Verde Road, as well as a weekly playgroup. Children should always have adult supervision on the playground to ensure safe and proper use of playground and equipment, to help prevent injury. For safety reasons, we ask that children play only in the areas provided with playground equipment.
The Palo Verde Playgroup meets on Thursdays, from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. in The Palo Verde Community Room.

Community Barbecues and Picnic Tables
Located throughout the community and outside the Community Room and the Clubhouse, gas BBQs and picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you use these amenities, please clean up after yourself and dispose of any garbage in the nearest dumpster.
Laundry Rooms
There are eight laundry facilities located throughout the community. Laundry machines all operate with credit, debit, or prepaid debit cards.
